Our Projects

UN BRUTTO T1PO (A BAD T1PE)

We contributed to support research for the treatment of type 1 diabetes by collaborating with the non-profit organisation SOStegno 70, founded in Italy in 2001 to support children and families of children with diabetes.

The funds raised were donated to the Dia-betes Research Institute (DRI), a research institute within the San Raffaele Hospital in Milan, which is entirely dedicated to the treatment of diabetes.

The DRI is a research institute of excellence within the IRCCS San Raffaele Hospital, founded in 2007 for the study, prevention and treatment of diabetes. The DRI’s mission is to integrate basic, clinical and translational research with the future goal of defeating diabetes and its complications. Today, the DRI is a research centre of international excellence also thanks to its unique structure, which combines basic, clinical and translational research activities.

In particular, we funded the “Beta is better” project to develop strategies to predict and prevent the loss of beta cells and to replace them when they are lost.
